Bridgeport Covered Bridge

Linchpin was retained as the California State Parks NSC On-Call Historic Structural Engineer to provide peer review and construction administration for the Bridgeport Covered Bridge. The bridge is a 210 feet long and is the longest-span wooden bridge that still exists in the world. The original bridge had to have emergency stabilization due to numerous issues and failures that need to be addressed. Linchpin teamed with the rehabilitation engineer of record, Bueller, and the peer-review engineer, Krakower to provide an additional fold of peer-review and construction administration support. The rehabilitation was completed in 2021 and the bridge is now reopen to the public; the temporary shores are removed and the bridge once again free-spans the 210 feet.
