Linchpin Structural Engineering teamed with Dennis E. Zirbel, Architect, and Corri Jimenez, Architectural Historian, to prepare a Historic Structures Report for the Truckee Donner Land Trust. Linchpin provided the structural evaluation and peer review for the report.
The Hotel was built in 1860. It is log construction in a simple gable form. Linchpin found the structure to be in relatively good condition and considers it to be a reliable structure for future use. The foundations will need to be restored and deterioration addressed.
