Alder Creek Adventure Center

Linchpin Structural Engineering was the Structural Engineer for the new Nordic Ski Lodge at Tahoe Donner – now the new Alder Creek Adventure Center – renamed to account for its expanded year round use. For the project, Linchpin teamed with Dale Cox Architects. The project was unique in several ways. Unusual for the region, it is founded on liquefiable soils and required the use of geopiers. It was also completely modelled in 3D from our BIM-Revit file to allow it to be prefabricated off site. With the walls prefabricated, the building went from foundation to framed in just weeks.
