Jose Montenegro, PE

Jose joined Linchpin Structural Engineering in the Spring of 2016. Jose drafts all his projects’ construction documents and is highly experienced in 3D Building Information Modeling using Revit Structure.

He has gained vast experience in designing homes around the Reno-Tahoe area for both new constructions and remodels/repairs. Jose designed several pedestrian trail bridges, some on U.S. Forest Service land. More recently, he has worked on commercial tenant improvements including façade remodels and signage, and commercial tilt-up construction. He has worked on a variety of other projects including driveway-decks, deck additions/remodels, equipment anchorage, commercial signage, foundation design, and commercial-site retaining walls.

Jose’s interests center around bridges, and he is always willing to accept a challenge in structural design, for projects like truss and joist modifications, custom A-frame residential designs, sport climbing walls foundation and support, or seismic upgrades/retrofits of essential services buildings.

He was the Project Engineer for multiple-award winning Phoenix Rising A-Frame build with TGM Architects.
