Krupps Bethancourt

Project Engineer

Krupps joined Linchpin in the Summer of 2024. Krupps works on a little of everything at Linchpin, with experience in steel, CFS, CMU, concrete, and timber. Much of his work is tenant improvements for existing commercial buildings and residential remodels and new construction.

Notable Projects include:

  • Redwood Materials TI, a multi-story delegated design tenant improvement for the battery recycling plant in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center. The project required interior cold-formed steel walls over 30 feet tall.
  • 3223 Mill Street Seismic Rehabilitation, a seismic upgrade of a large concrete tilt-up building. The work added new diaphragm anchorage and a steel braced frame system.
  • Columbia Residence 14, the restoration of a Columbia State Historic Park residence for California State Parks.

Before joining Linchpin, Krupps surveyed laboratory infrastructure for a Las Vegas research facility, documenting electrical, water, gas, and HVAC systems and drafting the spaces in CAD so contractors could install research equipment. He has also worked for a general contractor on an expansion of the water treatment system at the Clark County Water Reclamation District.

Outside of work, Krupps plays Dungeons & Dragons with friends nearly every weekend. He also makes digital art, hikes when he can, and spends time with his cats.
