Michael Nicklin, PE

Mr Nicklin joined Linchpin Structural Engineering immediately after it was founded in 2013, bringing with him thirteen years of prior structural engineering experience. Earlier on roles included developing standards for construction documents for new residential and commercial projects using 3D Building Information modeling utilizing Revit. Mr Nicklin has transitioned into a more managerial role in the Reno office.

Mr Nicklin along with the project engineers in the Reno office have a vast portfolio of experience in Mining Facilities, Hotel/Casino specialty projects, Commercial Buildings, concrete tilt-up construction, Prefabricated Building Foundation Design, and Tenant Improvements.

Notable Projects include: Staging/Light Support structure for the El Dorado Theatre, Fleischmann Building in Carson exterior improvements, Cashman Washbay canopy in Reno Nevada, Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino Addition.

Mr Nicklin’s engineering interests include implementing 3D modeling into the construction documents to streamline the design process and look for time, costs, and labor savings. More importantly he enjoys team building with clients, architects, contractor, junior staff to ensure all phases of projects goals are maintained.

Mr Nickin was the Project Engineer for designs awarded the Mountain Home Award 2015 and the Outdoor Living Award 2012 by the Tahoe Quarterly.
